Jeb, This is fine, but remember, that with any diet, you will lose a lot in the first 2 weeks. Most of this is water weight. Also, after 4-6 weeks, with at least the QOD diet, but probably with most diets, you tend to hit a plateau, and the weight loss stops for 2-4 weeks, after which time, you suddenly lose 3-4 lbs. The average weight loss you can expect is 1 lb/week. But depending on how overweight you are, some people lose 5-6 lbs in the first 1-2 weeks, which is mostly water. Then weight loss starts again, with other plateaus, and then more weight loss, etc.
All I'm saying is, if alternating between 2 diets, that's fine, but trying to compare them like this will be hard.
Another big thing with QOD is when you weigh yourself. Your weights will be different on eating and fasting days. So to assess your progress, either use the weight loss tool at eatqod.com (which requires weighing yourself twice a day), or just weigh once a week, but always on the morning of the fasting day. The weight the morning of the eating day (after the fasting day) will be lower, but this is because of depleted glycogen stores, which overestimates weight loss.
